Fuji Electric Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., the leading energy technology company, announces that it has been conferred the 'Best Human Machine Interface (HMI) Provider' by the Asian Manufacturing Awards (AMAs) for 2015. The award was presented at the official ceremony held in Singapore on 20 Aug, 2015.
"Being recognized as the leader in the HMI category is a great accomplishment for Fuji Electric. We are the first HMI manufacturer to adapt new technology for VPN (Virtual Private Network) into HMI in Asia, and lead innovation in the industry. With features such as remote connectivity for tablets and smart phones, a capacitive touch panel for smooth operation, and a wireless LAN interface, we can continue serving the evolving needs of the Industry. We will continue to develop innovative and quality products and solutions that bring value to our customers with enhanced technology and unique engineering efficiency," said Johnny Chia, Senior Manager of Drive & Automation Division, Fuji Electric Asia Pacific.
Fuji Electric developed the first touch panel for factory use in the 80's and has been a leading manufacturer for more than three decades. HMI products indicate the operational status of production lines in factories, and allow users to operate various types of equipment which control and monitor various functions. Remote operation in secured environments will fulfill current market requirements as well as the requirements of our customers. Against this background, Fuji Electric developed the MONITOUCH V9 Series, its latest HMI series. It offers the same sophisticated machine performance, production management and predictive maintenance utilizing operational data within the system, plus built-in wireless LAN and VPN for remote operation for a safe and secure environment.
MONITOUCH V9 Series is UL Certified, and come standard with on-board Ethernet ports and SD Card slots allowing for better connectivity to peripheral devices. The V9 Series has on-board audio output and wireless LAN (access point incorporated). A VNC server function ensures that all models can be accessed from a tablet, PC or smart phone, and the compatibility of all V9 Series models with VPN means a safer and more secure network environment. With a vibrant color display and PDF viewing capabilities, customers will enjoy higher performance and ease of operation.
The V9 Series comes with built-in, user friendly "V-Connect" router functionality which reduces additional costs of VPN router and configuration software. The Series also benefits customers with its flexible HMI control function; HMI and VPN monitoring functionality and communications with other devices are available within the product, further reducing costs. By using VPN remote monitoring, customers can collect all necessary information before visiting a site, or even monitor a site remotely.
Organized by Contineo Media, the annual AMAs provide a timely and valuable recognition for companies providing industrial technology solutions and value-added services. Winners were selected by an international panel of expert judges and audited externally to ensure fairness and transparency.
