AT&S Wins Business Oscar 2018 in Innovation
March 5, 2018 | AT&SEstimated reading time: 1 minute
The USA-BIZ AWARD, the so-called Business Oscar of the Austrian Trade Commission in Los Angeles of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), puts the media spotlight on outstanding achievements of Austrian companies in the highly competitive US market.
The winner of the category “Innovation” this year is the Styrian high-tech company AT&S. The products of AT&S – high-end printed circuit boards and IC substrates – play a key role in the most innovative communication applications in the electronics industry, including the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and autonomous driving. It is especially the close cooperation with the US innovation landscape that enables AT&S to always have a leading position in the core segments Automotive, Industrial, Mobile Devices, and increasingly also in the Medical segment. Whether it is hand prostheses enabling people to feel and reach for things, or exoskeletons, which give people supernatural powers, or interconnected pacemakers – AT&S is at the forefront with its technology.
The Business Oscar was awarded for the eighth time this year in the following categories: Startup, Market Footprint, Trendsetter, Investment, Innovation and Spectacular. Apart from AT&S, this year’s winners were ESS Engineering Software Steyr GmbH, HIRSCH Maschinenbau GmbH, Binder+Co AG, AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH and Doka Ventures GmbH. The top achievements of Austrian companies were celebrated at yesterday’s Business Oscar Gala of the Trade Commission in Los Angeles, which took place at the same time as the Academy’s Oscar Gala.
